Cobble Hill Brownstone Remodel
COBBLE HILL BROWNSTONE
Hyrel worked on this project while employed at Robert Couturier in NYC, marking one of her first major projects and sparking her passion for historic architecture and design. This project involved the transformation of a stunning historic brownstone in Brooklyn for a family of four. The remodel focused on expanding and modernizing the existing kitchen and several bathrooms, while thoughtfully preserving the home’s rich architectural heritage.
The renovation struck a perfect balance between historic charm and contemporary design, showcasing Hyrel's ability to integrate modern interior forms into beautifully historic backdrops. Careful attention was paid to maintaining the original features of the brownstone, ensuring that the integrity of the architecture remained intact, while incorporating modern amenities and stylish furnishings.
In addition to the kitchen and bathroom expansions, Hyrel meticulously furnished and accessorized the rest of the home, creating a cohesive design that seamlessly blended the old with the new. The result is a warm, inviting space that reflects both the family’s lifestyle and the timeless elegance of Brooklyn’s historic brownstones. This project is a testament to Hyrel’s expertise in historic renovations and her talent for creating spaces that honor the past while embracing modern living.
